Biography
Benno White is a British/German visual artist working with photography. He studied Photography at the Kent Institute of Art and Design (now the University for the Creative Arts) in Rochester in the 1990s. He currently lives in East Sussex, UK.
Much of his photographic work has comprised long-term projects exploring the timelessness and transitory nature of the landscape and the wild. Through an intuitive methodology aided by repeated visits to the same area, he builds an intimate relationship with his subject. Looking at these images is to accompany him on his journey through the natural world, to participate in these return visits.
In 2016 he was chosen to show a selection of his Ashdown Forest work as part of the East Sussex Open exhibition at the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne.
All images on this site are available as part of a series of limited edition prints. The prints are titled, numbered and signed. Framing and shipping can also be arranged.
